Going straight to my discussion I prefer us to quickly take a look at the code of Hammurabi.
The code of Hammurabi was as enactment of “Hammurabi” an ancient King of Babylon who reigned back in the years about 1780’s BC. This code was a collection of Babylonian laws proposed and written on a tablet to elucidate the states law requirements as a decree by the King. Many vestiges of Hammurabi’s rule have been preserved up to date as inspirational materials of the past. Charles F.Horne (1915) argues that Babylon was the first metropolis in the world. He continues to say that King Hammurabi remarkable code has been honored up to date, since he is accorded the title “the wise code of law provider in the ancient Babylon.
I have always delighted in obtaining more knowledge about this significant historical documentation on an erect monument. This is as a result of our class studies about historical significance towards understanding our past, as well as, the heroic history contributors. Since time in memorial, Hammurabi’s legacy has firmly stood the test of time in existence.
These could not have been possible if it was not for King Hammurabi’s efforts. His dedicated focus on establishing this monumental code of law tablet was to establish a uniting factor for all the Babylonians through the streamlined governance. Just like the father’s of all wisdoms in the universe stated that, positive original pase makers leave behind a remarkable blue print, Hammurabi did the same through enacting a code of governing rules to his subjects Babylonians. These codes of law were conceivably the most remarkable and influential creation of its era, since it is the oldest set of laws inscribed on a Diorite stone known to exist up to date. Now let us look at some of the laws found on the stele.
Sources argue that Hammurabi’s code of law was written to provide contact relationships justice between the free people and the slaves. Furthermore, wealth protection is also part of the segment mentioned in this law as a crucial factor contributed in the law. He aimed at protecting the weak from the strong since there had emerged a lot of prejudice between the well-off and the broke. The wealthy people frequently did lots of injustices to the helpless since they felt protected by their power through wealth.
Conclusion:
History truly defines the past heroism. There is more than we can imagine when we close our eyes and focus on the great mind behind this historical record. Hammurabi’s code of law is some precious remembrance of our great and exceptional human beings that have ever existed. Hammurabi is truly an icon of credibility and justice to men kind. For sure it can’t go without being said that truly, since time in memorial, Hammurabi’s legacy has firmly stood the test of time in existence.
