Classification Essay
The types of unusual shoppers
I have worked at a supermarket near my home for a period of three years. The supermarket job as an attendant was interesting and it gave me an opportunity to effectively study the behaviours of human beings. Shoppers are like experiments rats that can follow the maze of aisles in the supper market in search of their own unique things. many customers generally follow a dependent route as they walk up and down the aisle before they pay their bills and then walking through the exist door. This analysis of people’s behavior has taught me a great deal in that I can say that every person is dependable.
First are the amnesic shoppers who seem confused maybe after forgetting his shopping lists at home. Finally after taking hours of figuring out what she needs. She finally makes it to the cashier and starts removing her shopping from the cart. All of a sudden, he remembers she remembers the specific kind of product that actually made her to come to the supermarket. She rushes back to the shelves taking another long trip to find the product as the customers behind her keep on waiting for her. Other customers get grumbling but have to be patient and wait for their turn. When paying for the bought goods the amnesic realizes that she forgot her wallet at home. There is nothing else she can do and leaves the supermarket.
The second category of customers who put my patience on the trail is the ones with nothing in mind when coming to the supermarket. They wander in all the ailed aisles frequently posing and waking slowly. She tastes the perfumes, squeezes sniff or roll, and sprays out air fresheners. However, this category of shoppers does not buy any of them. Then she begins to checkout on people around them. For instance one can start chatting about my hair, the kind of care products for her skin and hair. Despite the behavior she displays, I have to be patient and friend and what crosses my minis that this customer has no where else to visit.
Lastly, the most annoying category of shoppers that I have encountered as an attendant is the hot shoppers who I have to be patient with. It is clear that such a person is one who had been planning for the shopping earlier in the day. She carried a calculator and the pocketbook. She matches through the supermarket as she scrutinizes one item from to another and carefully organizing things according to their shape, weight and sizes on the trolley.
Whenever a product misses from the supermarket, she greatly complains and wants to talk to the manager concerning the mispriced or missing stock. The manager will carryout his duty and tries to calm down the client and help her return to her normal self. Further, the hot shopper will be very keen to check whether the entered prices as being similar to the register and ready to jump on to the cashier whenever a slight mistake is made and when the calculations are not similar to the one in her calculations. When a mismatch happens she insists on recount.
With all these unusual kind of shoppers, I have to be patient with them. It will not be justified for me or any of the employees of this supermarket to chase them away. Somehow I managed to tolerate them instead of becoming irritated of their unique behaviours (Braniac 2012).
