Challenges Met In The Course Of the Dissertation

Jan’s research was based in Tampa which is quite a distance from where she studied hence she had to travel substantially to collect data which was the most significant part of the study. However, due to inadequate time allocated for data collection as well as inadequate resources, she opted to postpone the data collection until after completing other academic units. Brown could easily go back to his home area to collect data but he lacked any idea on how research is done especially data collection. His supervisor had suggested that since he had carried out research projects in his undergraduate as well as masters level, hence there was no need of having to go through the procedures again.

Overcoming the challenges

When it became apparent to Brown that his lecturer was not going to discuss research techniques with him, he sought for the services of an online professional writer who willingly carried out a virtual research study on the same topic and presented the complete dissertation to Brown. This was not the first time he had sought the services of this writer as earlier on during his masters degree he had been introduced to her by one of his friends and that way his thesis research for masters and doctoral degree were done by her (Rudestam, and Newton, 2007).Jan on the other hand had made up her mind to complete her doctoral dissertation after completing other academic pursuits. She had requested her supervisor to increase the time span so that she could accumulate enough resources for the project.

Her supervisor agreed on condition that she had to clear other areas first to increase the time allocated for the study when the time was due. Jan was comfortable with the idea of carrying out the research at her own pace because she was knowledgeable with the various data collection and analysis techniques hence minimal intervention with her supervisors (Rudestam, 2007).Students aspiring to join doctoral programs should ensure that they have set aside enough resources in terms of data collection techniques, past research information, time and priorities to ensure that they are able to complete their projects in time. Similarly, they should be keener in all types of research to broaden their scope on the topic (Rudestam, 2007).
