Lean System
Lean system is the practice of that considers resources expenditure for a particular goal other than value creation for the final customer to be wasteful, and therefore an elimination target. The lean system is focused on value preservation with less work. The lean system lays emphasis on the waste prevention, waste of time, labor and also the raw materials used in the production of a service or a product that adds no value. A lean system has tools that are unique, methods and techniques that help an organization to reduce costs, have deliveries that are just in time and leads times that are shortened.
Through the implementation of the lean system, the employees are able to improve their skills and the process of production. Lean systems are customer driven and focused and therefore products and services are produced and delivered in correct amounts, to the right place, at the required time and in a good condition. A lean system enables production of services and products that are of a wide range, good response to demand that is fluctuating and quality that is increased.
Although lean production has positive results on production, it leads to work injuries which are linked to development of cardiovascular and hypertension disease. Lean production has positive effects on the workers in that it leads to development of the skills of the worker, support of co-worker and solidarity and strength of the union. It leads to improved working conditions and therefore no big gaps between the real work and standardized work. The relationship between the managers and workers is improved by the lean system because the workers are able to do their work effectively and therefore no conflicts between them and the managers and through this, we can see that lean system has positive effects on the relationship between the managers and the workers.
