Computer Systems Design and Analysis

  Introduction

There are various computer systems designs and analysis. The differences in systems design influence performance, systems integration and efficiency. There are various design methods for computer systems and they can also be analyzed comparatively via various methods of systems analysis.

A search for sources assessing various systems design and analysis on proquest yielded various articles that cover this area of concern. The first identified source was authored by Votta, G. L. and Vander Wiel, A. S. under the title “Assessing Software Designs Using Capture Re-capture Method. The article appears on the IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering Journal, volume 19 issue number 11 and published in 1993. The article reviews how various system designs can assessed for performance on a comparative basis < http://proquest.umi.com/pqdweb/?index=9&did=1143130&SrchMode=1&sid=59&Fmt=6&VInst=PROD&VType=PQD&RQT=309&VName=PQD&TS=1281599279&clientId=49285>.

The second cited resource found on proquest was authored by Gerald, R. (Bar-llan University) and Sadeh, M. and Teeni, D. (Tel Aviv University). The article is titled “Object-oriented Analysis-Is it just theory?” The article also appears on IEEE software published releases. This article reviews how the object oriented design strongly supports processes of coding and technical design but records a poor support for functional analysis. < http://proquest.umi.com/pqdweb/?index=9&did=1936545891&SrchMode=1&sid=51&Fmt=6&VInst=PROD&VType=PQD&RQT=309&VName=PQD&TS=1281597753&clientId=49285>

The third located resource was authored by Gedeon, T., Ngu, H. H. A and Srinivasan, U. Their work is titled “Managing Heterogeneous Information Systems through Discovery and Retrieval of Generic Concepts”. The article was published within the Journal of the American Society for Information Science, volume 51 issue number 8 on June 2000. This article reviews the comparative differences that occur within various systems and how their integration can be made possible considering their incompatibilities. < http://proquest.umi.com/pqdweb/?index=92&did=56369332&SrchMode=1&sid=45&Fmt=10&VInst=PROD&VType=PQD&RQT=309&VName=PQD&TS=1281597624&clientId=49285>.
