According to the self assessment test, I have discovered that, in most cases, I apply codes of ethics in making my decisions. Evidence shows that most people value money when making their decisions. I have learnt that am different from such individuals and handle my professional according to ACHE standards. My decisions based on medical necessity in order to help patients get the best health care services. Most of my colleagues wonder why they seek the advice or direction from me. They do so simply because when solving organizational conflict, I use ethical approach, which they normally, fail to apply, (Gillette, 2010). Although I value my benefits, patient’s services come first before my benefits and this has assisted me in achieving my career goals. I have managed to be a role model of ethical behavior although it requires strong decision making strategies. My institution has operated in the right direction simply because I advocate ethical discussion when solving or developing organization aspect. I have learnt the importance of involving colleagues in organization decision making situation. This is the reason why I have managed to resolve organization conflicts that arise from organization environment, (Harris, 2008).

Professional ACHE standards have played a vital role in my decision making process. Evidence shows that am a role model in ethical situation simply because different people some from the organization and others from outside seek help from me. The ACHE standards positively help me develop sound decisions in ethics situations. Most people fail in their decision making, but with the help of ACHE standards I have learnt what is best in decision making. It is necessary to apply ACHE standards in ethical situations simply because they help develop an environment that favors parties involved, (Harris, 2008). I have in many ways ensured that the right decision over an ethical situation has moved in the appropriate direction. These standards have assisted me learnt the difference between an ethical situation and ordinary situation. With an ethical situation, an individual must put emphasis the values of humans and by this develop an ethical decision. Professional ACHE standards have made me encourage different people and parties in my workplace develop an environment that offers quality health services to patients. This is the reason why I consider financial and clinical matters when it comes to matters pertaining patient’s health care issues, (Morrison, 2011).

My individual ethics plays one vital role in my decision making process. I first take time and evaluate the ethical condition for a given situation. In a natural situation, it requires serious evaluation of the ethical problem in the decision situation. Research shows that in order to learn ethical skills for decision making, an individual must have self ethics that guide in ethical decision making. ACHE standards have only helped me define my ethical skills, and how I should apply the skills in solving decisions in ethical situations. My ethics helps me realize that clinical matters should come first although financial matters count when making a financial decision, (Gillette, 2010). Apart from that, I have managed to respect ethical situations and encourage as much as possible involved parties come up with a decision that is sound enough. My ethical knowledge helps me not to react quickly when developing decisions. I make sure that all aspects get considered, and an environment created does not interfere nor affect any party involved in the ethical situation. When making ethical decisions, I use my ethics in developing solutions to problems, not towards any individual’s interest but rather on the basis on my professional. I value my stand when making decisions simply because I have discovered that I have the potential and influence in creating an environment that suits everyone, (Harris, 2008).

Improving ethical decision making process helps someone create an environment that is suitable for problem solving. One strategy to improve skills for ethical decision is by practicing ethical behaviors. Research has proved that individuals who actively practice ethical behaviors have the potential to develop sound decision in ethical situations. ACHE standards encourage professional in health care industry engage in activities that improve the decision making process, (Morrison, 2011). Such activities are by practicing ethical behaviors. Another strategy that will help me improve my skills is by understanding ethical programs that are used in ethical decision making. I will seek advice from individuals who I believe know and understands how to solve ethical decisions. Additional assistance from experts will also improve my experience, and by that I will manage to solve ethical problems appropriately, (Gillette, 2010).
