My specific goal is to become a personal financial advisor. Apart from being a highly paying job, this position gives a chance to impact peoples’ lives of individual directly. I am always interested in taking part in activities that enhance the wellbeing of society. Many individuals live in deplorable condition because they simply mismanaged their finances. Many American families are straggling in debts and yet they have resources that can enable the family members to live comfortable lives (Wink & Wink, 2011). Becoming a personal financial consultant will grant me the opportunity to impact on the lives of such families by providing advice on how they should manage their finances.
A career as financial advisor will also enable me to exercise my entrepreneurial skills. Becoming a personal advisor gives an opportunity to establish my own consultation firm. I have always wanted to become a business owner, and this career provides this opportunity. However, I have kept several other options open in case my goal of become a personal advisor is realized. I would also consider working as treasurer or a financial analysis in a reputable organization.
My education background in finance major will give me an excellent foundation in the finance career. This program offers causes that will enable me to acquire knowledge and skill that is necessary in the financial field. A degree in finance will also qualify me to most careers in the finance field. However, I don’t intend to stop my education after graduating from the undergraduate class. I plan to pursue other programs as this research has revealed that additional certification enhances the opportunities of excelling in the finance field.
