Each individual has values which are instilled by religion, social norms, and family up bringing.  These values are related to ethics which determine what we think is wrong or right. Personal ethics determine how we make decisions. Some decisions may interfere with the ethical principles held in the health care organization leading to conflicts .Therefore, when there are conflict of loyalties the health care organization ethics cannot be fulfilled.

Ethics in medical fields values the autonomy of patients, justice, harming no one, dignity of the patients, honesty, and truthfulness. These are the values which provide a framework which on how to deal with different situation which health care providers encounter.

Conflict in moral values results from crisis and dilemma of ethics.  This implies that the individual values do not match with the ethical standards of the hospital.  This  situation mostly occurs when  there is  scarce  resources like  power,  less promotion chance and  resources among  medical  practitioners.

People need to be approached in different ways depending on their own ethical and values. This is because not all people are the same and have shared or different values in life depending on ones background. Autonomy, which is the recognition of self determination and the right of individuals, is therefore, important when we make informed consent directives.
