Chronic renal disease is a complex problem for Australian Aboriginal peoples related to inequitable access to health care. Equity and access is an important principle of primary health care. Examine# community nurse (CHN)* roles and skills required to improve equity and access to renal health care for Australian Aboriginal peoples from a population health perspective.
This assessment requires students to generate an argument and make a case for claims made in relation to population healthcare. To be able to do this, students apply theoretical knowledge to community nursing practice.
* Please note: In this assignment, the term community nurse (CHN) refers to any nursing roles practised in community settings including: community-based nursing roles, for example, nurses focused on care provision to individuals and families; and community-health nursing roles, targeting groups, communities and populations in addition to families and individuals.
# Please note: In this assignment, examine means to present a detailed account and explanation of the key terms in the topic and present the implications they have for real life nursing and health care (Findlay, 2003). Therefore, it is expected that you will find and present information from journal articles and books related to the topic. You will need to describe the key terms in the topic in detail and explain how each key term relates to the others. You are expected to introduce your core arguments in an introduction. You are also expected to present a conclusion based on the arguments that you present. The introduction and conclusion should comprise approximately 10% each of the total word limit (250 words for the introduction and 250 words for the conclusion).
