I am writing in response to your job advertisement on as post of a bilingual counselor-Spanish at SCI Chester medium security prison. I have the desire to work in a criminal justice field and assist offender adjust to life. I believe that the counselor’s position at the security prison will give me an opportunity demonstrates my desire to assist offenders. I have qualifications of Bachelors of Science degree in technical management with a specialty in criminal justice. This course exposed me to relevant coursework such as crime and delinquents and behavioral sciences. I also have adequate knowledge in criminal law and the justice system.
This background academic information will enable me work with the offender towards rehabilitation from drug and alcohol abuse. Other than academic knowledge, I am a fast learner, an avid planner and excellent at advising people. This qualification will enable me to establish effective treatment plans for each resident. I also have excellent teaching skills that I will use in individual and groups discussion with the residents at the prison facility. I am also conversant with Spanish language, and it will be easy to conduct group session in Spanish. So far, I have worked for Sear, Steve and Barrys where I have proven to be a reliable employee. My internship At Bucks Juvenile probation exposed me to the intricacies of dealing with offenders. I believe I am the ideal candidate for the job.

I sincerely thank you for taking your time to invite me for an interview and also taking the time to interview me. I was immensely honored with the interview invitation as it gave me a chance to show you that I am indeed qualified.
I am the perfect candidate for the position of probation counselor at SCI-Chester. This is because I not only have the academic qualification, but I have the passion and desire to bring positive change to offenders. I am also a fast learner, and I believe in the shortest time I will have grasped the operation of the facility. I am also a reliable decision maker and thus do not need constant supervision over any tasks assigned to me. I also have a natural instinct to anticipate problem. This helps me plan ahead hence cope with situations effectively. When dealing with an offender, the need for quick thinking is mandatory, making me the ideal candidate for the job.
My main career objective in my career is to work in criminal justice and help offenders rehabilitate. Working as a counselor will help me to set the foundation of my career as I make positive change to the offender’s lives, their kin and society.
