The education evaluation plan is for a school district, and it will apply the international society for technology in education standards as its evaluation platform. The evaluation plan has its basis of the dedication of teaching and learning through the effective integration of technology in education. Roblyer (2000). The plan useful to any existing school district that teaches geography. One of the evaluation platforms of the plan is whether there is equipment of students with 21st century technology and learning skills. This would be essential in enabling students to become effective global digital citizens. With regard to geography, this would involve the use of digital tools by students to plan organize and gather information.
The other evaluation platform is whether there is equipment of teachers to change the manner in which they plan and teach. This is through the integration of technology throughout the curriculum. Robert J. (2002). The third evaluation basis is whether there is equipment of school leaders with appropriate skills and knowledge. This would be essential in developing and maintaining an atmosphere that supports technology integration and 21stcentury learning.
Enhancement of collection of data for evaluation would be through various stakeholders. Teachers will provide information on whether they have necessary skills for facilitating and inspiring student learning and creativity. Students will provide information on whether they can use digital media and environments to collaborate with other students, teachers and professionals. Mary J. (2007). Business and community leaders would enhance data collection through visionary leadership. This would be by providing the status of advocacy for policies and programs that support implementation of a technology based learning. Education administrators will provide information on whether they provide sufficient digital age leadership that supports the study of geography. Brooks (2004). Parents would be helpful in data collection by stating whether there is a realized change in their children with regard to technology advancement.
