Globalization of educational institutions, summits and educational exchanges benefits pubic purposes. According to Reimers Fernando (2006) one of the purposes gets to be to develop nationality and development for a better life.  However, many media have criticized globalization regarding the destruction of certain cultural matters; globalization has enhanced integration of various nations into positivity.  Effective citizenship has cropped up as a result of global citizenship, which encompasses disposition, knowledge and ability.  Furthermore, this engagement gets to provide peaceful cohesion and integration across cultural differences for purposes of tackling individual needs, as well as, accomplishing sustainable human, environmental relations. Globalization of educational needs has also boosted the contemporary standards of knowledge and insight regarding cultural diversity and global development.


A general commitment to global values, including protection of human rights and tolerance would be fundamental to prevent civilization conflicts as predicted by some scholars. The essential source of conflict in the modern days would certainly not emerge from the economical or ideological positions rather the conflict would be cultural (Reimers Fernando 2006).   Making citizenship education would be the best way to address this challenges anticipated affecting globalization. More so developing global values through explicit goals of efforts to improve the quality in the entire universe would help in finding sustainable solutions to cultural conflicts causing global challenges. This paper is focusing on the topic global education needs and values in consideration to how globalism is affecting certain cultures. According to the media publications on globalization, global ism gets accused of destroying certain cultures.


However, some scholars have a different view on the same matter. Reimers argues that culture would be the sole cause for conflict in the modern world.   As if not enough, the anticipated factors such as ideologies and economic issues would not be cause for conflict, but culture would be.  International summits and educational gatherings have improved integration among people, as well as new knowledge about different cultures.  The media’s argument on destruction of certain cultures by globalization could be focusing on the traditional cultures of some citizens, but globalism role on cultural enhancements supersedes this challenge.  Some cultures had to evolve since change gets to be inevitable in all aspects of life. Some Traditional, cultural values such as informal education have little or no attachment to modern ideologies of education; hence they might be laid aside (Goodlad, J 1990).  Clarken H. Rodney (1991) argues that the new world order gets to be founded upon an appreciation of diversity and a comprehension of the integration of all humans.


This is a globalization effect that proves the need for cultural interconnectedness that would result to unity and not diversity.  Cultural diversity in globalization affects all nations since globalization change hovers over them all. This means that some culture would have a tendency of winning over others and replace them. As a matter of fact, most of the western or European and U.S cultures have influenced other s especially on technology and life styles.  Civilization has the upper hand of cultural changes. Most of the cultural changes witnessed today get to exist because of influence from civilization.  Modernity gets like a wind of change which cannot be stopped by cultural rigidity.  In conclusion, globalism creates more cultural connectivity than destroying some. Through educationist such as Plato who argued that culture differ but their integration gets paramount for the good of the citizens uphold s globalism needs. Globalism values provide a way for effective education, which corresponds to humanistic agility in knowledge and understanding.
