Good writing is a subject that has developed different discussions in the day to day writing activities. Different authors have come up with guidelines that govern the world of writing making it essay for upcoming writers to develop sound writings. I think good writing should entail relevant information for the target audience. Apart from adhering writing rules and regulations good writing should focus on the main agenda and have the ability to pass the message. It should also be clear to understand simply because some writings are good but technical when it comes to understanding, (Karen, 2010).

Although there are technical parts of quality writings, most writers always adhere with the notion of correct grammar and spellings when developing their writing work. In order to know what good writing entails, the writer must first understand what writing means. After understanding about writing, the writer will then develop concepts of good writing in his or her writing activities. Evidence shows that different people have come up with definitions of good writing. But in the real sense the environment of desirable writing revolves around the elements of writing which for the true definition of good writing that satisfies the audience.

Writing is considered a response as people write in response to the world around them and people. Writing entails ordering ideas in a certain manner in order to ensure the audience understands. We find ourselves in a recursive situation when developing ideas for we rewrite what is written initially. Experts of writing consider writing as a decision simply because they have to decide what they have to write for their audience, (Terry, 2011).

Writing is a response: Writing is considered a response as people write in response to the world around them and people. Evidence shows that a good writing may be a response where the writer reacts over something or someone. Writing is done to respond over something thus when writing an individual must consider what the agenda of the situation talks about. Responding to something or someone requires crucial development of ideas in order to meet expectations of the said situation. I have written different writings where I find myself responding over a given situation. In order to clearly develop the appropriate writing, I ensure that my sentence structure revolves around the main topic. The main thing when we say that writing is a response revolves whether the author responds clearly about the issue or the situation, (Ming, 2006).

Writing is linear: Writing entails ordering ideas in a certain manner in order to ensure the audience understands. When writing, the writer should have a sense of reader’s expectation. Most writers fail to develop the best writings simply because they do not consider their readers. In writing, the writers must remember that the target population has to understand what is written or else the writing will have no meaning. Writing should order words and ideas in an effective manner with the aim of communicating to the reader in the right manner. Organization of words and ideas in writing is a vital aspect that should never be assumed when constructing writings for any purpose. Organization is relevant in quality writing simply because it helps the reader understand what the writers intended to put across. Writing requires organization of ideas as well as putting writings in a systematic pattern to create something logical, (Karen, 2010).

Writing is a decision: Experts of writing consider writing as a decision simply because they have to decide what they have to write for their audience. In writing quality papers or materials, the writer must consider the words to be used in the writing process. At times, it becomes technical and difficult to develop appropriate writings simply because the writer did not develop the appropriate words for a given writing situation. Writing may seem obvious, and this is the reason why most writers fail to develop writings that are sound and relevant. In this case, quality writing requires decision on how words will be grouped in order to develop sound meaning. Evidence shows that good writing requires critical decision on how the writer will complete the writing given all elements of writing. Making a decision on words use in writing may be difficult but a smart writer ensures that the right words and ideas are used to develop meaning in a writing work, (Ming, 2006).

Writing is recursive: We find ourselves in a recursive situation when developing ideas for we rewrite what is written initially. In most a times, we find ourselves rewriting or redoing what we have written in the first situation. This means that we want to emphasize the information contained in the first situation. The best writer should writer and review what is put on writing in order to reshape the information meant for the reader. Expert writers do not write once and submit the writing to the reader. What they do is writing and rewriting once more to ensure that all the information is in the proper structure, and the reader will easily understand the information submitted. By constantly rewriting ideas in the writings, we develop the relationship that exists between these ideas something that make it easy for the reader connect the main agenda for that specific writing, (Terry, 2011).

Writing is a process: Without the above concept in quality writing, a writer may fail to develop something that fully communicates to the reader. Writing is considered as a process simply because the writer must prepare and put down the intended information in a systematic way. Different people approach writing in different angles, but the main agenda of quality writing is to pass information or message to the reader. In the process of passing the message, the writer ensures that a certain approach is used to create or develop the writing in the desired manner. Experienced writers find it easy developing a piece of writing simply because they have they way of doing writing work. Upcoming writers should seek writing skills from the experts in order to develop writings that suit reader’s expectations, (Karen, 2010).

Conclusion

Different authors have come up with definition of good writing, but it’s true that no single definition explains the real meaning of writing. Writing entails a lot of elements such as decision making, rewriting, process, and response among others. Writers should put all elements of writing in the act of writing to develop sound decisions.
