Pursuing graduate studies has always been one of my main goals. Through graduate studies will serve as a platform for enhancing my career as well as professional development. While growing up, I had tremendous admiration for learned people in the society. This is because they had an excellent degree of self esteem. Additionally, learned people command a lot of respect from other people in the society. Consequently, the urge to pursue graduate studies kept growing.
As an ambitious person, I consider graduate studies as an effective benchmark for career excellence. This is because the studies offer an excellent exposure to learners. Although undergraduate studies were extremely beneficial to me in terms of career advancement, I have the desire to enhance my knowledge. One of my main principles is that knowledge is the basis of life.
Without ample knowledge, it is difficult for any individual to prosper in life. This is why I consider the graduate study program as an excellent opportunity for me to form a solid foundation in life. While enrolling for this program, I also had the motivation of interacting with other intellectuals. The graduate study program provides the learner with a unique opportunity to interact with people of the highest intellectual caliber. Such interactions are essential in honing an individual’s knowledge and technical skills. Such perspectives are extremely vital with regard to an individual’s career path.
Another aspect that has been a massive motivator for pursuing graduate studies is the quest to impart knowledge to young learners. All these perspectives highlight my motivation for pursuing graduate studies.
Motivation for Social Work
Working for the betterment of society is among the most fulfilling things in life. At a personal level, I always have high regard for other people in the community. This is why I have tremendous motivation to work towards enhancing the lives of other people. Some people in the society endure extensive suffering. This is because of poor health, malnutrition and inadequate access to quality education.
Everyone has a role to play in terms of assisting these people. Being ignorant about the plight of other people only contributes towards the deterioration of living standards in the community. In most cases, it costs so little to encourage any suffering person. For instance, donating food and clothing does not cost a fortune. This justifies the reason I am so zealous about social work. Social work is also a reliable platform for averting vices such as petty crime and drug abuse in the society. People indulge in such behavior because they lack guidance from professionals. With adequate guidance, it is possible to avert the high rates of petty crimes in the community.
I have enormous unease for these kinds of people. This mostly applies to drug users. Through my experience in social work, I have the capacity to interact positively with these people and positively change their lives. My motivation for social work also draws upon the capacity to offer hope to the discouraged people. I have an inborn ability to help people come to terms with traumatic circumstances and the various challenges of life. Consequently, this serves as sufficient motivation to participate actively in social work.
My spiritual background is also another perspective that serves as sufficient motivation for social work. I firmly believe in helping other people whenever they need assistance. This is among the most fundamental teachings in my religion. By participating in social work, I put this spiritual belief into practice. I also consider social work as an essential platform for enhancing or creating awareness about pertinent issues. For instance, social work is a useful platform for enlightening people about the healthy lifestyles. Such kind of an initiative affects society’s wellbeing. It is thus an excellent perspective for enhancing the living standards in the society.
Social work presents an individual with the chance to interact with different people. In the current world, diversity is among the most outstanding aspects of humanity. For instance, the United States has one of the highest levels of diversity in the world. This is because the American society comprises of more than one hundred ethnicities. Consequently, working in the society presents a fantastic basis for dealing with people who come from diverse backgrounds.
From another perspective, social work presents an excellent opportunity to contribute towards environmental protection. The degradation of the environment is among the most pertinent issues in the modern world. However, most people are unfamiliar with the environmental risks posed by different anthropogenic activities. Through social work, it is possible to address these kinds of environmental challenges. I am highly passionate about environmental safety and conservation. This also comprises a motivational perspective for social work.
Social work related employment
Back n 2007, I worked in an organization that offers food to hungry people. With its headquarters in Atlanta, I gained tremendous experience from this organization. Firstly, I had the chance to make food and serve it to hungry people. Although the United States ranks as a rich economy, instances of hunger are extremely predominant in some places. This justifies the establishment of organizations that specialize in feeding the hungry people in the society. While serving the hungry people, I could notice how grateful they were for social work. This shows how social work makes a massive difference in people’s lives.
Apart from preparing food for the hungry people, I also had the responsibility of counseling the different people who were in need. Through counseling, I could impart hope to the discouraged people. I have tremendous skills for motivating people. Working in this organization was helpful in terms of honing my motivational skills. Through the motivational sessions, I would encourage people to have positive perceptions about life. Based on the experience of working with other people in the society, I have become a better person. This is because I can easily fit in the shoes of other people who are suffering. Being compassionate is among the most fulfilling aspects of life.
Social work career goals
My main professional aspiration is to make a positive impact on the lives of other people through my knowledge and social skills. This fundamental goal conforms to the organizational mission Worden School. This institution seeks to enhance the quality of life of individuals by honing the social skills of students. I have a wide range of skills in social work.
It is fundamentally essential to use these skills in accordance with God’s purpose for humans. This is also an inherent perspective in the organizational mission of Worden School. The school seeks to promote the highest standards of spiritual growth among the student fraternity. As a member of this fraternity, I will work strongly towards the fulfillment of spiritual goals.
Another personal career goal is to use my education and experience to secure employment in an organization that offers social services. I am aware of the fact that an individual cannot attain her career goals without pursuing higher education. This goal also conforms to the service mission of Worden School. The institution enhances an individual’s professional goals through the exemplary education system.
The learning environment in this institution offers an excellent opportunity for students to pursue to attain the highest academic qualifications in line with their career paths. I always seek to offer assistance to the less fortunate people in the society. This is an integral component of the school’s service mission.
I have vast experience working with needy children in needy communities. This is because I perceive children as the future of today’s world. Consequently, children are essential components of the society. Everyone has an obligation to encourage children to work towards fulfilling their potential. This goal aligns with the service mission of Worden School. This is because the institution seeks to help individuals identify and pursue their purpose in life.
As a staunch Christian, I strongly believe in sharing the love of Christ with other people. Consequently, I always treat other people passionately irrespective of their standards of living. This is extremely crucial in terms of fostering togetherness in communities. Without togetherness, it is difficult to promote the wellbeing of needy people in the society. This perspective also conforms to the fundamental stipulations of the service mission of Worden School. Studying in this school will immensely help in achieving my professional goals.
