Online Courses Vs Campus Classes
We are in a world of technology where each and everything is changing from old ways to current technology related ways. Education was used to be provided in classes but of late there are some many online courses which are offered by colleges which have integrated their operations into current technologies. There are both positive and negative results of any type of change of which online course has, (Rayburn-Trobaug, 2010).
One of the main advantages with online courses in respect to classes’ courses is that a student is able to manage time effectively thus cover a lot of activities within a short period. Management of time is one of the basics of any learning environment which has for year’s disturbed students. Research shows that students who are taking online courses are in a position to handle their limited time wisely simply because they can just site and attend their courses while doing other activities.
Another advantage of online courses over the class ones is that students are such flexible. Most online courses are schedule in a manner that students are provided to log on and get their information at times that they feel flexible. In classes’ courses, students are required to attend to class physically which may be impossible thus denying the students the opportunity to get information, (Rayburn-Trobaug, 2010).
Although online courses are quite easy and flexible to attend, students do encounter some problems with ways they get their knowledge. For an online course, a student may not pay attention to what she or he is learning. Campus classes can be the best in this aspect because students do pay attention to what they are taught by their teachers. Transfer of credits from tradition class to online classes at times becomes hard if the colleges do not share common settings of their operations, (Rayburn-Trobaug, 2010).
