Overcoming Shortage Of Nurses
Overcoming Shortage Of Nurses
The shortage of nurses is caused by different rules and regulations. States have established various rules and regulations. The rules differ from one state to another. To overcome the shortage of nurses, the states should be governed by similar rules and regulations. This will prevent nurses from moving from one state to another to look for better opportunities (Ellis & Hartley, 2004).
A universal licensure is important in nursing as it brings equality in the training of nurses. Most states train nurses differently. This makes it difficulty for nurses to have similar skills. The government should encourage universal licensure to allow nurses to learn similar things. This will help overcome issues facing the health care industry. Police officers are taught similar things and this has helped promote equity (Ellis & Hartley, 2004).
Contracts are common in health care. A contract is a germens between two or more people. The contract can be written or unwritten. There are legal risks when entering into a healthcare contract. Legal risks are risks that prevent parties from legally entering into a contract. A legal risk can occur when a transaction conflicts with regulation policy. The legislation used to establish the contract can change later, thus affecting the contract.
A health care contract should meet the legal requirements of a contract. For example, the contract should have an agreement and consideration. Also, the contract should have an assortment of provision. The provision makes the contract legal. So, the contract should contain the information above so as to be considered valid. One should ensure privacy when meeting contract requirements. He should not disclose client’s information to a third party. He should consider the interest of the parties. When identifying the requirements of a contract one should avoid biasness. Biasness leads to ethical issues(Ellis & Hartley, 2004).
