To win voters an election, political parties mobilize voters through platforms with the aim to get support from voters. Policy goals must be developed and implemented by the politicians to get voters. This essay focuses on the issue of pro-abortion policy goals presented to voters by Republican Party, Libertarian Party, and the Democratic Party.The Republican Party is based on the fact that no single person is the property of another person. This is a clear explanation of the party’s stand in respect to the issue of pro abortion. The party supports the amendment of human life and asserts the sanctity of human life. From the individual’s political philosophy, I believe that Republican Party presents sound policies to the society simply because no one has the right to take life from the other person.
The unborn child is also a living thing and has the right to life, and it is through such arguments the party does not support for abortion. By supporting the amendment of human life and not funding abortion programs, this party will manage to mobilize voters to the national level. On the same, Republican Party encourages abstinence and promotes adoption something that reduces the level of abortion, (Elliot & Fram, 2012).Libertarian Party has also contributed to the issue of pro abortion. The party has mobilized voters in different ways by presenting different policies and arguments to the national level. According to this party, pro abortion is a sensitive issue that should be left to the owner’s decision. Libertarian Party argues that, causes of pregnancy differs simply because some may be kidnapped or the pregnancy was by a mistake.
The government should be out of the abortion issue and leave the issue to personal, conscientious consideration. The party stands at a neutral point because the decision of abortion is personal. For this party to win voters for elections, it might get some who supports the issue and some who does not support the issue. What the party condemns is the government funding abortions. From an individual’s political philosophy view, the party has the potential to win enough votes to take the party to a national level. The party gives individual to select whatever they want to mean that abortion as per the party is individual’s opinion.Evidence shows that most people wonder where Democratic Party wants to take people on the issue of pro abortion.
The obamacare act supports for pro abortion and gives the woman rights to decide on the issue. According to the democrats, abortion is a personal decision that should be left to the owner’s decision. The only difference between Libertarians and the democrats is that the democrat’s supports government funding on abortion practices. The party supports the issue of pre abortion and argues that the woman has the right to have the child or not. Apart from supporting the issue of abortion, Democratic Party supports the access of effective family planning methods at affordable rates. In order to improve the current economy, the party argues that the society should practice family planning, (Paleocon, 2012).In conclusion, the issue of pre abortion has developed arguments that take a different direction. As a republican, I believe that the unborn baby has the right of life thus pre abortion should not be allowed.
