Psychological Insight into Personal Preference

Psychological Insight into Personal Preference

Fear of Flying in my case is influenced by the anxiety developed whenever a plane takes off. The fear of crashing or fire blast in the aircraft develops a serious flying phobia and panic attacks.  Furthermore, losing control over the situation creates more anxiety and fear causing a serious flying acrophobia.  As if not enough, according to a number of researchers, treatment for fear of flying has not been identified.

Most of the aircraft accidents that have been reported always presented insignificant numbers of survivors. This kind of information makes increases on my fear of flying every time I hear them. According to the book Psychological perspective of fear of flying, by Bor Robert (2003), fear of flying is mostly associated with lack of information about flying and how to cope with anxiety.

The best subfield for providing psychological insight is the biological field of study. A biological study on the causes of behavior change provides detailed analysis of the systematic functions of the brain. In this study, the learner studies how the brain co-ordinates with the nerves system to display reactions of the human body. Furthermore, these studies enable the learner to gain insight on the chemical reactions of the body that result to behavior characteristics composition.

In this studies, the learner is able to identify learn how to manage the body chemistry, as well as, ramifications of the same matter.  The significance of fusing psychology studies to biological subfield is that, the learner is able to gain broad insight of the actual activities taking place in the brain reflected on behavior.

The biological activities on the brain towards behavior reaction highly contribute to the selection of this subfield. The studies have brought some insight on the systematic flow of information in the brain. For example, when the eyes see the aircraft taking off from the ground, that information is sent to the brain, which leads to fear of flying. Through the limbic system of the hippocampus and mammillary bodies, the emotional response is controlled; hence behavior reactions. On these biological bases of behavior, the body is able to disclose its emotional activities, thus developing phobia for something. Additionally, the biological insight discovered in this studies enable s one to understand how the human psychology works.

Following the engagements in gathering the psychological insight, the learner’s state of consciousness is increases as given below:

First and foremost, pursuing the preference becomes quite a hefty task due to intensive research engagements. In identifying the facts of the study create complexity, because of the complex language the biological terms use. On the other have this topic is broad; hence identifying specific areas of discussion becomes inevitable.

The preference chosen is also wide in areas of specification, thus resulting to dilemma. However, on a positive note, the experiences in this engagement lead to incredible insight. In discovering how biology can fuse together with psychology rejuvenates one’s state of consciousness. In addition, one is able to understand that it is impossible exhaust knowledge or insight.

Learning enables one to move from one level of knowledge to another.  The facts about learning demystify the need to gather even more knowledge to quench thirst for knowledge. Although learning leads to genuine curiosity of knowledge, leaning sometimes is a tedious state of being. The more one needs to gather more knowledge the more there is to gather.
