Quality care process in hospitals is essential for the well being of the patients and also the financial survival of the facility. In a health facility, the quality care process is gradual and involves the integration of different parties in a health care facility. First, the process involves improvement of leadership and knowledge of staff. An improved leadership in the hospital ensures that the hospital is properly managed, and emphasis of quality care is emphasized. Knowledge guarantees that health care professionals at the hospitals are well informed on the safety and quality care measures to uphold.


The second process involves identification of errors. It is through the identification of errors that health professionals lean how to handle various medical situations in future (Buttell, & Hendler, 2007). The third process is setting performance standards and expectations for safety. Hospitals should set performance standards and expectations for health professionals so as to enhance the patient’s safety thus quality care. The fourth process involves setting and implementing safety systems in health care organizations. Health care facilities must have programs that enhance the patient’s safety and quality care by incorporating safety and quality care principles.


The health care standards mentioned above are maintained based on health care reform initiative which emphasizes on the provision of better health care services. Health care reforms, among other tasks aims to expand the health care providers that the public can access, improve the quality of health care and serve more people while reducing the overall cost of health care (Buttell, & Hendler, 2007). Health care reforms initiative guarantees that quality care I no longer a reserve for the rich as the middle class can now access quality and affordable health care.
