A Reflection Paper on Psychosis

Psychosis as the category of mental disturbance in which biological abnormalities are the most significant contribution is more than a coincidence. This state of abnormal condition of the brain carries with it the biological input of the brain dysfunctional condition exhibited behavior wise. The mental state often associated with a loss of contact with reality gets initiated by the biological brain condition in the central nervous system. The psychotic behavior is the result of the disconnection of sensory contribution from perception.

Information on the world around us gets gathered by dissimilar kinds of sensory receptors like taste, tactile auditory, olfactory, and visual, which sojourn to different parts of the brain, specialized for processing a particular kind of sensory data. In the visual sensory organs, the information travels to the visual cortex in the optical lobe of the brain, which processes output reflected on the reactions displayed.

The auditory information also travels to auditory cortex in the temporal lobe. The brain acts the main processor of the neutrons that get sent to the body parts. From the specialized areas, the data moves to parts of the brain responsible conscious thoughts and movements. Nevertheless, before any of these procedures takes place, sensory data gets sieved through an area of the brain named as the thalamus. The thalamus area helps in dispatching out irrelevant stimuli so that the brain gets not overloaded with data.

The mental disturbance gets elucidated by the biological abnormalities reflected through behaviors. A person experiencing psychosis hallucinations exhibits abnormal behaviors, which demonstrates the messages the brain is sending to body parts. For example, a weed (Marijuana) smoker may visualize unrealistic images of moving buildings or bumpy paths while there is nothing like that on the path ways.  These kinds of reactions demonstrate how psychosis categories of mental disturbances get reflected through behaviors of the affected individuals.

Recent studies argue that biological input gets likely to make disorder worsen at long run.  Psychosis disorders result to severe mental problems which at long run may cause permanent brain damages or even death. Primary biological input creates enormous chances of making disorder worsen since the brain depends on various s on inputs it gets fed. Furthermore, the mental status of an individual gets severe especially when there is continuous input of the biological disturbances.

The brain gets overloaded especially when a psychosis patient adds more pressure or stresses to his or her brain. Use of sum harmful stimuli like hard drugs also worsens the disorder problem. Most of Psychosis the ailments get severe when the patients do not get proper or adequate treatment. Specialized psychopathologist Clinicians provide distinct therapeutic services that help in curing psychosis conditions. As a matter of fact, mental disorders get severe especially when primary biological contribution gets increased.

Like Mother Nature has provided us with the ability to change abnormalities, we must rise and fight mental disorders. Severe conditions of psychosis could be worsened by lack of proper treatment; however that should not let the disorder continue worsening. Substance intoxication can be applied on a psychosis condition. Behavior therapy and family therapy gets the best of the non medicinal treatment the patients need for treatment.
