Respect describes a positive feeling of esteem towards another person. There are behaviors in the society that are seen as signs of respect. For example, valuing other cultures in the society and respecting other people’s ideas are said to be respectful behaviors. Being rude is a sign of being disrespectful. Respectful behaviors are behaviors that are acceptable to the society. The behaviors are inline with the societal norms. Another respectful behavior is treating others the way you want to be treated. Also, being considerate of other people and treating other people with dignity are respectful behaviors. Also, a person having respect for other people should appreciate other people and their differences. He should not discriminate other people, but he should respect them and their differences.
Some people in the society do not appreciate other people, and they end up causing chaos. Respect is an important quality as it has a lot of benefits to the person and the society at large. Respect has a lot of benefits to student’s life and his career. First, respect helps students improve their performance. Students are taught how to respect their teachers at a tender age. When students respect their teachers they motivate them. This forces teachers to help the student improve his or her performance. Students should respect teachers so as to get attention from the teachers.
In addition, respectful behaviors make it easy to relate with other students in school. Teachers encourage students to respect other students. This helps create good interpersonal relationship among the students. For instance, students are taught how to be kind, humble and honesty. This in turn helps prevent chaos in the institutions. Most institutions do not encourage respectful behaviors and they experience conflicts. This is because the students do not relate well. The students are always dishonest, unkind and rude. This makes it difficulty for the students to perform well and schools to perform well.
Moreover, respectful behaviors encourage diversity in the institution. For example, appreciating other students and their differences helps create diversity in the schools. Students are allowed to appreciate other students regardless of their races or ethnicity. This helps improve interpersonal relationships among the students and also their achievement.
Respectful behaviors are important in ones professional career. Respectful behaviors help one relate well with other workers in the organizations. Lack of respect leads to poor interpersonal relationships and communication breakdown. This in turn leads to conflicts and hence affects ones career. One should respect other workers in the organization so as to preserve his careers. He should learn how to create good relationships with other employees so as to improve his productivity.

For example, they analyze whether the one is respectful or not. Only people having respectful behaviors get a chance to work in the organization and enhance their careers.
