Evidence shows that a program to privatize the transport security system has gone under several discussions without success. Due to the increasing public complains on the invasive manner searchers are conducted, below are some of pros and cons of replacing government TSA security screeners with private screeners. One of the advantages is that the public complaints will reduce. The invasive manner searches will no longer have placed something that will make work earlier for the airport authority. Working with a private program, the airport authority, will save time taken in searching travelers, (Wilson, 2010).

By privatizing their security system, airport authority will be more responsive to the public making the work easier. Use of private screeners will reduce costs of providing services because the situation will be left to a different sector. Another thing is that the airport authority will effectively serve its clients. Privatization of security system means that the private company will concentrate on security issues thus it will ensure that right measures are put in place. Creating an independent security system in the airport means that work will be accomplished in the right manner, (Wilson, 2010).

One of the disadvantages is that the airport authority will involve the private sector in its decision making plans. It will share some of its secrets with the firm in order to enhance security something that will not be in order.  The airport authority will have to enter into an agreement with the private firm something that may affect some of operation strategies hence affect travelling of customers. Since the private alternative has no direct benefit with travelers, they might jeopardize the security of passengers, (Wilson, 2010).
