Utilitarianism

Introduction

Utilitarianism theory states that humans are entitled to maximize utility in all aspects leading to the wellbeing and happiness of humanity. In other words we humans should make sure that we act in such as way that our actions result to many positive consequences as possible. Furthermore the totality of our positive results should defeat the negative in terms of utility, as is not enough in whatever kind of actions integrations utility must be maximized regardless of whether the rights are respected or violated while acting so. Something is an obligation or a right only when it contributes to the entirety of utility, and when it does that to a higher extent at the expense of violating the rights.

Filip Spagnnoli (2011).

Human rights violations in the working place are cases witnessed in many public and non profit organizations. These violations bleach the bylaws of organizations since every employee or employer needs his or her dignity being respected. There are some of the three human rights violations in a working place being focusing on in this discussion which are; violation against equal treatment on bases of racial discrimination, slavery treatment in the working place, and finally the right of association.

In the first violation on racial prejudice this bleach of right conforms to the utilitarian theory which states that all human are entitled to maximize utility in all aspects leading to the wellbeing and happiness of humanity, thus defilement of this statements means high utility principle disbandment. Being enslaved or forceful working without equal measure or reimbursement in the working place also befits in the utilitarian theory, which supports human happiness rather not exploitation and manipulation.

This violation shows a high degree of inhuman behaviors witnessed in a good number of the private and public organizations thus ranking as one of the top in the human rights violations. The rights of association and forming of union representatives of the employees are also another violation which is touched by the utilitarian theory. To a larger extent the greatest number of people would benefit if violation forceful labor was curbed because this right has been reported to be so exorbitant in most of the public and non profit organization in more than a decade ago.
