Media Writers And Their Influence On Society
It is important to note that media writers have always had an influence on how the societal members think, act as well as behave. In this text, I explain how media writers influence the society.
How media writers influence society
According to Webb et al. (2010), many people do not realize just how much their opinions are influenced by the media. In a recent study, media came across as the most trusted news source and according to psychologists, it is this trust that people have on the media that informs the influence media writers have over the society that reads their materials.
The society constantly turns to the media for guidance on the trendiest wears, the happenings at the social scene etc. It is important to note that people also rely on the media for other kinds of information including but not in any way limited relationship issues, careers as well as self betterment information. It hence follows that the opinions of media writers go a long way to influence the way those people respond to various situations in their lives as well as how they relate with each other Webb et al. (2010).
A perfect example of the influence media writers have on the society can be gleaned during election periods. Voters are constantly swayed by the opinions of the media writers and tend to alter their voting patterns accordingly. In this case, the influence of media writers is largely felt because most people take them to be the custodians of public interest.
Conclusion
In conclusion, it is important to note that as a result of the considerable influence media writers have on the society, they must always present an objective rather than a subjective view of issues playing out at various scenarios.
