Table of Contents

The author of this book has narrated the stories with the right amount of humor and heart. Most of the stories are funny, and others just make the heart to ache for the characters. The book’s main characters are not always happy, and they have high self esteem. Girls in white dresses try to show the character of women which most of women during their twenties have to go through mostly after they have completed college. This life involves career, relationship, friends, marriage and family. These characters are amusing on how they talk about their lives. The intended audiences of this book are girls on the journey of their life at the age of twenties.

The main setback with this novel is that it is hard to keep trail of the key characters who are presented here. This is hard because, in spite of the fact that the novel narrates the stories of the three characters Isabella, Lauren, and Mary, there are many other characters who also share their stories. Because of the other characters who are involved in the book it makes it hard to follow the story and stay engaged. This novel is broken into a set of short stories where every girl has her series of issues happening. This interconnection has contributed to enjoying the stories and relating with what is happening to this modern life. This is a good approach because it allows the reader of the book to observe the small moments in the women’s lives.

Despite having the problem of having many characters, the novel was able to solve this problem by intertwining the stories. This was possible because each character knew the others. The friendship that exists between some of these characters sounded to be true to life, loving but sarcastic, truthful but snaky. Reading this book is interesting as it actually show how women relate with their friends. All the characters in the book, are authentic and the writing of the book is perfect. The conversation among these characters is very honest such that it is like having a one on one conversation with your friends. This is a great book as it tend to make one forget that you are reading it and you start learning more on the lives of the characters.

My assumption on this book is that it is a great book that most women are likely going to identify themselves with most of the character experiences in the books. It is a fantastic feeling to feel like you have experienced the lives of other people through literature. When you relate yourself with the character of other people it makes it more meaningful. I enjoyed reading this book, and it relates to my life experience.
