Major Theories On The Concept Of Reality

Learning theory is one of the major theories in the concept of reality which aims at guiding people to perceive the existence of various aspects. As reality is attributed to the existence of something be it an object, living organism or idea, the ability of an individual to understand its existence if paramount to the learning theory. It allows human beings to identify new things which exist in nature as well as development of innovative concrete concepts (Greenberg, Koole, & Pyszczynski, (2004).The philosophical theory in reality tends to create a link between mental aspects of an individual in relation to what is present. According to this theory, there is a very thin boundary between what an individual constructs in their mind and what is present in reality.

The theory nullifies any ability of the human mind to conceive abstract objects which do not exist. Therefore, the human mind perceives objects which are present in the real world or else those which can be found at some point in the course of daily activities (Greenberg, 2004).The platonic theory of reality however, disputes this notion by stating that for any object to be present in reality, an abstract thought must have been developed by an individual. This abstract thought could be of an object or concept which does not exist or that of an unimaginable idea which needs to be put into reality by experimenting. The theory claims that mathematical formulae as well as procedures which are carried out during invention of various items were first constructed by the human mind out of abstract ideas. After experimenting, the real formulae was obtained and modified to match the needs of reality (Greenberg, 2004).
