Obama Presses for Change but Not a New Face at the Top

Without the government of Mubarak, United States will experience difficulties in trading with Egypt. I strongly believe that U.S. government fear the operation of Egypt with a different government and that is the greatest reason as to why some of the meetings were help secretly or without a public media. Unlike in other countries, US do fear to intervene the leadership problem so that it is not seen to be biased on one side. From the presidential press statement made by Mr. Obama, it’s clear that it’s challenging to deal with presidential status of Egypt. There were no sound measures that were made on what should be done simply because US fear to give directions which other countries will criticize (Sanger & Cooper, 2011).

Information provided by the national security after a meeting with Mr. Obama clearly shows that, US has don’t want to provide directions on what Mubarak should do so as to reduce or prevent violence that has risen due to the fact that he never won the elections. Due to the fear of a new government, statement provided after the meeting only urges the president to ensure that there is peace. No directions on what should be done when Mubarak decides to stay in power which shows that the US government might feel better if the violence might end and the person who heads the country remain the same. Mr. Obama statement was clear in that He never advocated for a force exercise to be taken. He believes that the citizens are the soul deciders of what they want thus the government of US should be ready to face anything that might result, (Sanger & Cooper, 2011).

Development of new government which is not headed by Mubarak is a great fear to the US. That is the reason as to why clear statements were not released even when the committee meets with the president. Lack of respect or violating the signed treaty with the government is another greatest reason as to why the government of U.S. has no say about the current issue. A treaty signed in 1979 might be violated with the development of new culture headed by opponents of Mubarak. Governments headed by people such as Muslim Brotherhood will automatically affect the relationship of the countries simply because they will not recognize what type of treaty was signed. Although Mubarak is required to give equal chances of political development, the government fears whether the government of Egypt might stop the operations of the firm, (Sanger & Cooper, 2011).

A statement produced by the wikileakes said that Mr. Obama had earlier provided a statement which supported the Islamic movement in the world. Since the government of Mubarak is solely elected by the majority of the Islam that is the reason as to why no comments have been made yet on what should be done so as to deal with the crisis affecting the country. The only statement that the government of U.S. does provide is on measures that the Egyptians should deploy so as to ensure all things were learning in the right manner that will favor or respect the treaties that the government might have signed with U.S, (Sanger & Cooper, 2011).
