The Room and Board Brochure

 Introduction

Table of Contents

The Room and Board facilities provide a home away from home atmosphere which caters for the psychological needs of the clients. This place is open for victims of drug and alcohol abuse who are working towards reverting back to normal lives. Residents of the facility include patients aged between 50-60 years hence it is a center for the elderly.

Components of the facility

The living environment provides facilities that are aimed at producing stress free lives, as well as, the highest quality of life. The locality of the facility is closer to health care facilities hence members are assured of quality health care at all times. Consequently, transportation is enhanced by the facility as the elderly will be in a position to access health care facilities, in addition to, other services in the neighborhood.

The residents are often not covered by government insurance schemes or even Medicaid hence they rely on out-of-pocket services. Similarly, due to the nature of their age, most of the residents are able to take care of themselves in the most basic levels. Therefore, personal care and nurses are not availed to residents such that most of them take care of their own needs. Recreational opportunities:

  1. Music and Games

Special amenities such as barber and beauty shops are not present within the premises due to their impact on the general health of the residents.  However, in the neighborhood they are available hence this does not prove problematic to the residents.

Conclusion

The management has established a facility that ensures occupants can revert their lives to normalcy, as well as, giving them an opportunity to enjoy self-dignity in old age.
