ASSIGNMENT 1A – (For submission) Deliverable Length: 2 – 3 pages in MS Word Describe a situation in your business or personal life that required research. You also may describe a current situation that will require research in the future. Examples include consideration of a career change, major purchase decision (home, automobile, etc.), differences in perspectives/opinions with co-workers, family, or friends, impacts of recent events involving the U.S. economy/financial markets, etc. In your description, you should include the following: – Overall situation/issues – Principal problem and related issue(s) – Secondary research needed – Primary research needed – Research findings (actual or expected) and analysis of results – Decisions/actions (actual or expected). In this description, you also should consider: – What biases may have influenced your analysis? – What emotions could have affected your thought processes? – Was fairness to all parties included in your decision? – Was your reasoning more reflective or expedient? – What types of critical thinking were used in analyzing alternatives? NOTES: 1. Cite at least THREE references that add value to or substantiate your analysis 2. All publications referenced must be italicized 3. Properly cite all references in the body of your paper (in APA format) 4. Include a reference page with all sources of information.
