Changes In World History

There are various changes that have taken place since 1939.The changes include economic, social, technological and political changes. The current world is different from the world of 1939. Since 1939 the world’s technology has changed. Most countries have adopted various technologies to help manufacture goods and provide services. For example, most people in the society have adopted internet technology. Internet and digital services have become common in the modern world. This has made it easy for people to manufacture products and get quality services. Also, the communication systems have changed since 1939. Most countries have incorporated the current technology into communication channels. This has eased the mode of communication. In 1939, there were no clear communication channels and there were no technological advances (Hodgson &Burke, 1993).

Another change is social change. People in the world have started valuing diversity. This is because the population in many countries is diverse. The population in United States is diverse as majority of minority groups have migrated to United States. The population is composed of Hispanics, Native Americans, and Latinos etc. Other countries have also embraced diversity. The population composition in the current society is different from the population composition in 1939 (Hodgson &Burke, 1993).

Also, the levels of racial discrimination have reduced since 1939. Most countries have allowed different races to live and own property in the countries. Racial discrimination was a major problem in 1939.This is because the whites viewed blacks as inferior. Blacks were not allowed to own property, rule and work in the same place with whites. Things have changed since 1939.This is because blacks and other races are allowed to work and live with other races. Also, blacks are allowed to rule and intermarry. For example, the election of a black president in United States in 2008 was a major achievement in world history and United States history. This is because blacks were discriminated in the country. The election of a black president made it easy for the society to recognize the need to eliminate racism. Most presidents in United States and European countries were whites (Hodgson &Burke, 1993).

Political changes have also taken place in the world. Most countries have achieved political stability. For example, the United States has become politically stable. In 1939, most countries were not politically stable because of the First World War and Second World War. Also, the cold war affected political stability in the country. Countries in the European region have established stable political   systems (Hodgson &Burke, 1993).

The world climate has changed greatly since 1939.This is because of industrialization and globalization. The rate of pollution has increased and resulted to global warming. This is because industries release harmful gases to the atmosphere. They release methane and carbon dioxide. This has resulted to poor climatic conditions in the world. Global warming and climate change have become major issues in the society. This is because of the adverse effects caused by global warming. In 1939, the rate of industrialization was low and the pollution rate was also low. Most countries were not industrialized and this made it easy for countries to prevent global warming. Since 1939, the world has changed due to globalization and industrialization.

Lastly, the economic growth in most countries has changed. The countries have experienced good economic growth due to industrialization, globalization and technological advances. For example, United States has experienced good economic growth since 1939.The living standards in the country have improved. In 1939, the economies were not good as the rate of globalization and industrialization was low (Hodgson &Burke, 1993).
