Combining Nursing Leader with Advocacy
Introduction Nursing is one of the most important disciplines in society because it entails providing care for human life. Leadership within the profession is very important since nurses play an increasingly major role in health care (Finkelmann, 2013). The objective of this essay is to conduct a self assessment of nursing leadership skills and to discuss how some of these skills can be utilized to bring about change within an organization. Strength and Weaknesses Personal and Professional Accountability According to the nurse manager skills inventory, I am still a novice in terms of professional accountability since am only a student and I currently don’t have any certification or professional association involvement.
