Theme is the fundamental that is frequently used in universal ideas explore in the literature. The outsider is concerned about the gap among the poor and the rich from socioeconomic difference. The author suggests that the gap in the two groups do not bring enemies as compared to other novels where there are enemies. The novel has the theme on honorable which are seen in the entire novel. The story of outsider helps to understand how the actors view other people around them and them selves as characters. The story creates cyclic premises for a narrative. The secondary actors have brought in the importance of using literature for it helps to connect with other people (Hinton S. E, 2001).

In cannery row the characters could be characterized as the riparian loner because most of the characters in this book were generous and kindhearted. The characters were also charismatic and smart. There are some of them like Doc who seems to be lonely, though every one loved him. These make them exotic. On the outsider the most of the characters seems to be tough and have a sense of invincibility. It is seen to have characters that are quite and passive like Johnny. The characters here are interventionist as compared to characters in the cannery row. In the outsider characters are also charismatic and lovely like Cherry who finds herself charismatic and sexy. In both novels the characters understands other people motivations and emotions. The minor characters have contributed a lot since they have helped to complete the story (Steinbeck J, 2002.

In Harry potter and the prisoner show the riparian loner because the character was very famous and he strive to have a normal life. He loves people because he has close enemies, triumphs, dilemmas and friendship. He seems to be different because of his loyalty and courage. Many characters in this novel are looking for fame, loyalty and love. The characters are good adventures and natured, they are also brilliant and helpful. The minor characters are important in the story because they have brought the theme of loyalty and its importance. The novel has also used the symbols which are also important. Like the names of the characters have meaning for example; worm tail that was indicative to an animal. The secondary characters have also helped to create a theme of injustice in legal system like the soldier and the Lucius (Rowling J.K, 2004).

In our time novel the character seems to have bad tempers thus bringing them trouble in their lives. The characters are also sensitive and quite as compared to cannery row. Father of Nick being a doctor he insists on importance of masculinity. In this scene the secondary actors has contributed a lot on theme of love. This is because we can see Marjorie wants to marry nick, also Luz being a lover of the soldier. The minor characters have also contributed a lot in making the story attractive and funny. Hamlet is a bitter, melancholy and cynical character. He is also a thoughtful and reflective man. He is a hesitant and indecisive and at times impulsive and rash act. It is crucial to note that this story is involved with corrupted politicians. Hamlet is described as a preoccupied person with full of ideas in revenge, moral balance and justice. The characters have helped to have the theme on impossibility of certainty and complexity of action. The hamlet actions have affected the ethical, psychological and emotional factors. When acting he do it violently, blindly and recklessly. The minor characters have less to do with actions and appreciate hamlet actions (Edwards P. and Shakespeare W,2003).
