This film is the first to develop the pivotal role played by psychologists and physicians when detainees were tortured. Instead of doctors helping detainees on making through their torture life, psychologists and physicians made the situation worse. Indeed they covered and supervised in a secret manner how detainees were tortured in the prisons. The film slightly shows the aspect of American medical ethics scandal that has been in practice at abu Ghraib and Guantanamo prisons. According to the film, doctors have gone beyond the law simply because they play a vital role in torturing detainees, in the prison, (Lifton, 2012).In the first place, psychologists and physicians have failed in their job. Instead of providing care to detainees, they are the one who need to help and take care of detainees.

The film has managed to research and investigate the detainee’s life in prison. It is the work of state legislation to set and implement professional, ethical standards that psychologists and physicians should follow when providing health care to individuals. The government should develop standards on how doctors should conduct their duties when handling patients irrespective of their status, (Lifton, 2012).Indeed citizens of all groups should ensure that government officials are accountable on their behaviors in order have an environment best for them. This film uses all standards of quality documentary simply because it has clips that show evidence of what happened at prisons. Doctors of the dark side film highlight some of the aspects that made those days dark. Evidence suggests that if not addressed in a critical manner the situation may revive and return to the present time, (Lifton, 2012).
