Dear sir/madam.

Re: Grand Canyon Pollution.

Grand Canyon is among the few known virtuoso wonders in the country that were site aside years back. Uranium mining is the main pollution activity affecting the place developing threats of having unclean water for consumption. Research shows that water pollution is the main form of pollution in the society. Air pollution is also another type of pollution affecting most of the environments due to release of gases from mining, factory, and greenhouse sites. Grand Canyon pollution occurs in the form of air pollution where air is polluted due to mining activities in the place. Another form of pollution found in place is water pollution. The forest area of a given place helps improve ecosystem thus with high mining at Grand Canyon, the ecosystem becomes affected because places such as River Colorado have been polluted heavily. This essay will focus on the two main types of pollution that affects Grand Canyon, (Michaels, 2009).

Grand Canyon and its environs play a vital role in developing natural wonders that attract tourists in the country. For the last few years, a lot of mining carried in place for the uranium have created a lot of pollution. The pollution has changed the shape of the entire environment creating risks and dangers for the society as well as for the visitors. In order to preserve this place, the government should take a sound decision and strategy on how to deal with the form of pollution. The park was once the best place, but the current uranium mining has changed the shape of the entire place. Currently, the place lacks its natural beauty that attracts people in paying a visit. The government should intervene and evaluate on some of the activities that might be causing pollution of the place, (McKinnon, 2012).

Water and air pollution have affected the entire global. It is true that without water and fresh air no life on earth. Greed of money has entered into the minds of people making them forget about the basic things that support life. When air and water gets polluted, animals, plants, and humans become affected in different ways. Research shows that, with the current mining of uranium in place, a lot of risks that might affect the society in the future will develop soon. Serious cases have been reported on diseases caused by contamination of water in the nearby rivers. Campaigns on conservation of the environment have been launched in different parts of the world. The government has intensively supported activities in conserving the park but the mining process hinders the entire process. Indeed positive plans should be developed in order to ensure that the place has been conserved in the right direction, (Hamilton, 2011).

Leaders of the society around the place have refused to comply with the government on preserving the environment. According to the leaders, mining of uranium in Grand Canyon is the main source of income. Leaders claim that the process helps them get employment, lease fees, water rights, and royalties among others. Although those leaders have truth on their matters, it is equally important to look on how to reduce the level of pollution. If the government sticks and accepts what the leaders claim, the part around the place will get affected loosing revenue aimed at improving the economy of the country. The government should develop and implement rules that govern the mining process. Companies in the area should develop stalls in order to control what pollution occurs from the mining process. Standards should be developed on how companies should conduct their mining activities. All companies must comply with the standards and regulations for conserving environment for the society has been developed, (McKinnon, 2012).

I believe that the mining process has an impact on the Grand Canyon park and other parts of the world as well. Emitting harmful gases to the ecosystem develops risks on the life of living things thus standards of mining uranium should always count in order to have a safe environment. Companies that do not follow appropriate mining procedures should face legal charges. This will help protect and preserve the area for a better tomorrow. Visitors who visit the park complain on the noise that comes from the mining fields. I think this may affect the level of visitors in the near future. The government has played its role in developing rules and regulations for mining uranium. Implementing rules requires funds and time in order to ensure that a desired environment has been realized, (Michaels, 2009).

Lack of funds to support the conservation process has been the main problem in Grand Canyon pollution. The government should work with any nonprofit organization in environmental conservation. Companies that pollute the environment should be involved in the conservation plans. I believe by involving companies the level of pollution will significantly reduce. The company must pay in accordance to the pollution made. It will help mining companies reduce the level of pollution when a high tax is imposed on the mining process. The government should also develop regulations and policies that protect the misuse of resources. I believe that is nice ideas that may help the government realize the conservation plan of the rivers near the place and the national park where visitors pay visits. The government should impose high taxes on companies that open for uranium mining. This will discourage companies from entering into the industry. By so doing, the government will have assisted in the process of conservation, (McKinnon, 2012).

Truth is water pollution and air pollution has been the main types of pollutions in Grand Canyon parks. Although the government has put a lot of efforts in conserving the environment, research shows that mining activities are stronger than what is there to protect the environment. Living without clean air or fresh water is difficult for any living thing. The government should work with nonprofit organizations in the process of conservation. Different strategies such as imposing high taxes, developing rules and regulations, as well as monitoring mining companies should be in the first focus of the conservation process. All management system involved in the conservation process should work together in making the process a success, (Hamilton, 2011).

Yours sincere
