General purpose of a cashier is maintaining an outstanding customer service and processing sales efficiently and accurately. Duties and responsibilities include communicating customer’s request to the management team, maintaining an orderly appearance of register area and stocking supplies and maintaining awareness of all advertisements and promotions. The skills required include good communication skills, operating skills and the ability to process information. Moreover, a two years experience is required and the individual should have exceptional qualifications in the business field. Finally, the individual should be able to work under pressure and have the ability to work for extended period of time (Mader-Clark, 2008).
