Peer Interview for a Job

Peer interviewing for a job, is a process for hiring workers/employees that utilize the veteran members of a corporation to attain more knowledge or ideas of the candidates appropriateness for a position. The merits and demerits of this approach get discussed and follow up procedures get provided to Aid Corporation with workers satisfaction and retention.


In several corporations, this approach gets presented as an option for supervisors and managers to use like a means for facilitating recommendable hiring practices and more so as a way to encourage worker’s devotion and commitment to the corporation (Rask R & Smith L, 2007).  The following is an interview procedure between peer level interviewers. (John-interviewee and Jane- interviewer)


John: Why did you decide to join this company?

Jane: Well, I decided joined it because this company offers me an opportunity to utilize my procurement skills as I grow in experience proficiency.

John: Were your expectations met?

Jane: I would say yes since am working in the field I longed to work.


John: Do you enjoy working here?

Jane: Yes!

John: Why?

Jane: As I mentioned earlier, this where I longed to work, and I believe my procurement skills will be superlatively nurtured since I am comfortable working in this department.


John: Have you ever considered leaving the organization?

Jane: To be frank, there is a time a prominent businessman promised me to increase my salary by 45% if I joined his new organization. By the way, he promised me public relations manager position, but I turned down the offer.

John: Why did you turn down the offer?

Jane: The offer was not at no cost the man insisted on sexual favors, which made me lose faith in him; hence turning down the offer.
