Insights Gained
Based on the results garnered from the test, it is clearly evident that I am moving in the right direction as far as readiness to change is concerned. Additionally, the quotient test also demonstrates that my organization is on the right track from the perspective of readiness to change. (Grossman, p. 133)Despite the impressive quotient scores evident from the test, there are still some issues that should be addressed in line with readiness to change at both the personal and organizational levels. This will further enhance the quotient score to reach above the 70 mark on both scales.
Action to Influence my Readiness to Change
For any health care professional, change is one of the most inevitable perspectives within the line of duty. As such, I intend to enhance my readiness to change by seeking both informal and formal knowledge. This will equip me with the necessary information with regard to the various developments that have taken place within the profession in recent years. Additionally, I intend to interact extensively with other professionals in nursing leadership whenever opportunities arise. (Grossman, p. 127)
Action to Influence Organizational Readiness to Change
Readiness to change is not only critical at a personal level but also at organizational level. If an organization is not ready for change, the quality of service delivery would be compromised significantly. Within the health care organization, one of the important actions with regard to readiness to change pertains to leadership strategies. The organization must establish a leadership framework that facilitates for dynamism among all stakeholders. Furthermore, the organization should invest heavily in enhancing the knowledge and technical skills of its staff. (Grossman, p. 128)
