Introduction

According to a research conducted by British Council Spanish language have risen in United Kingdom learning institutions in the last ten years. The Spain UK education relationship is said to have taken another direction due to the integration of Spanish language in the curriculum, in most learning institutions. Starting with UK University, different institutions have made Spanish language as part of their activities that students must take in their coursework. There are universities in United Kingdom that have cooperated with higher Spain education system in teaching Spanish language. The rise of Spanish language in these universities is due to the need of Spanish language skills in the current world of globalization. This essay will focus on the rise of Spanish language and some of the common universities in United Kingdom that have cooperated in teaching this language.


Discussion

Evidence shows that the rise in languages teaching in learning institution has taken a different direction. Globalization has made learning institutions teach different languages to prepare individuals face different cultures when building their careers. Knowledge of another language helps an individual adapt easily to circumstances. This is the sole reason why UK universities have actively engaged in strategic development of Spanish language in teaching curriculum. Research conducted on the rise of Spanish language in UK learning institutions shows that UK and Spain have similar learning programs, and they have developed ways on how to share these programs. This is importance to students and education environment at large simply because it ensures that involved parties manage to achieve their expectations. Spanish education in UK prepares learners in different angles that help them face cultural changes in their new environment, (Jimenez, 2012).


UK and Spain have a common goal in developing their economy. In order to develop an environment that favors this growth UK universities have establish Spanish language learning system in their curriculum. Some of the common universities that have established this system include University Of London, Aston University, Cardiff University, and And Bath Spa University. Apart From Those We Also Have Plymouth University, Queen’s University, Oxford Brookes University, University Of Derby, University Of Cambria, and And University of Bristol among others. The above universities have established Spanish language in their teaching for the last ten years. The reason behind the development of Spanish learning is to help the two countries share a common thing. This will be one way that improves relationship between learning institutions in the country, (Foskett, 2010).


Spanish has become popular in UK learning institution due to different aspects. One reason is the similarity of the learning system in the two countries. Spain and UK exchange learning activities. In that integration, the UK universities have established Spanish language learning that help students get skills required to travel and work in Spanish culture. This situation started like ten years back where learning institutions developed how to teach Spanish language. The impact of social, language and economic degradation in the society contributes to the need of Spanish skills in learning institutions. UK prepares students have required skills to communicate and respond in difference problems, (Perriam, 2010).


Most universities in the world offer short courses on language. Learning different languages in academics have established environment best for students. The above universities offer Spanish language learning activities in order to advertise their services. Advertisement of learning institutions has contributed to rise in Spanish language, in UK universities. Students are taught Spanish language as an extra activity something that attracted students join universities that offer Spanish language. It is necessary to learn an extra language and especially Spanish when in UK simply because it helps to acquire right skills for survival in the current economic world, (Jimenez, 2012).


It is clear that Spanish economy is among those that are growing a high rate. A student must acquire higher competence in order to respond to the needs of these economies. This is why UK universities are preparing students by enabling them take Spanish course skills in their coursework. The economic difficulties that exist in the current global world require individuals who are able to respond to a different culture needs without any problem. With Spanish language, it is possible for UK individuals work well in their country or abroad. Learning institutions are part of economic developers thus they should prepare students in a direction to handle economic problems, (Perriam, 2010).


Evidence shows that learning institutions in UK prepares students in a way to help them get employment. The level of unemployment irrespective of educated population has increased. UK universities have established strategies to prepare students get employment. Instances of preparing students have double degree in a single learning have provided thousands of students get employment opportunities. This is the future of UK learning environment, and it is that nearly all learning institutions will have Spanish language programs in the next ten years, (Foskett, 2010).
