Chinese Culture

The wild wild rose movie tells a story of unemployed piano teacher called Liang hanhua who has taken up employment in a Hong Kong night club. She is part of the back up band for the sexy and popular singer deng sijia. The film is well developed as it later results into drama and romance. Popular culture has influenced the daily activities in the wild wild movie in different ways. It has influenced the production process, the market segment; the audience .The wild wild movie is successful because of the use of western and eastern elements well to create something which is new for all the viewers (Crouch, 2008).It includes all viewers from either background.

The production process has been influenced by popular culture as the movie has used cross cultural mix that is evident in the music. The movie has used an opening that is a blend of the familiar tune from French opera with the mandarin lyrics that are sung by the Grace. The movie has used a more western style on voice that has encouraged people or audience from the western parts. It has used some piano and stringed accompaniments from both the western and eastern culture thus making the movie an attraction for both western audience and eastern audience. This has made the movie more successful. The movie has also used some Latin as they are evidenced in the songs and the dance.

The composers of the movie like Ryoichi are from different background. This shows the use of popular culture in the movie. The multiple cultures in the wild wild movie have made it difficulty for any one to notice the culture or tradition in which the movie is working in .For example French Carmen is transposed to the streets of Hong Kong in the movie thus making viewer to be involved in tradition from three countries (Crouch, 2008).The movie is postmodern because of the aesthetic configuration, the means used in producing the movie and the global access of the movie. The producer has used good aesthetic configuration, good means of production and the movie has used different cultures thus making the movie globally accessible. This has attracted audience from all cultures.

The production team used in the production of the movie is global as the people are from diverse cultures. This has made it easy for the producers to accommodate each culture in the movie hence increasing the popularity of the movie as it targets a great market segment. This shows that popular culture has influenced the market segment for the movie and also the audience for the movie. The producer of wild wild rose movie has incorporated all regions in his production as he has made an eastern film for the western audience and a western movie for eastern audience (Crouch, 2008). Though the movie might seems complex in its production due to different cultures and the need for translation during scripting the movie has a global audience appeal that has made it attractive as it has a hybrid form of production.

It has used all the cultures thus creating identification for various cultures like Chinese culture, French and Latin. This makes the audience to fell part and parcel of the movie thus increasing its demand. In conclusion the popular cultures have played a vital role in the wild wild rose movie as they have highly influenced the production of the movie like the producers are from different cultures, the market segment as it targets people from different cultures and the audience is also diverse (Crouch, 2008).
