Bill and Melinda Gates foundation is a nonprofit organization that was found with the aim of enhancing healthcare, reducing extreme poverty, expanding access to information technology and education opportunities in America. The mission of this foundation is to help people to lead productive and healthy lives. The organization’s programs are dedicated to this mission to make sure that advances on life saving reach those people who are need of them most. Human capital is referred to as the stock of knowledge, competencies, personal and social attributes that are embodied in the ability to perform labor so that to produce economic value. Bill and Melinda Gates foundation focuses more in human capital and strategic human resource management. Human capital is connected to education and innovation (Pynes, J 2009).The foundation makes sure that they engage in finding smarter staff and make sure they keep and engage those staffs that they need.

This foundation is more effective in recruiting and retaining staff. They put a very high priority in on the personnel issues, which is a sign that they value their staff members, and they adapt themselves to the diverse needs and the interests of the employees and also the prospective employees. Bill and Melinda gates foundation is making use of human capital which has helped the organization to perform better and the foundation has been able to deliver excellent performance. The human resource management department is also very active in making sure that it is functioning effectively to make sure that the personnel is working in a better environment where they perform their responsibilities effectively (Pynes, J 2009). The HRM ensures that they fill positions in the organization with people who are willing and ready to take the job seriously
