President Woodrow Wilson speech is an augmentative speech which justifies the need of war against Germany.  He utilizes antecedent-consequence throughout his speech to support his call of belligerency. The president clearly states the abomination committed by the Germans such as the sinking of vessels belonging to United States and other friendly and neutral nations. This shows that Germany posed a challenge to mankind and all the nations in general. The fight, according to him, was the only way that this world would restore human rights, peace, and free democracy.
